Due to popular demand, Track POD has updated the web dashboard settings and has moved both scanning and shipping labels to a separate tab. To customize a shipping label go to Settings -> Mobile Workflow -> Scanning.

In Shipping Label and Scanning select what entity Order or Goods you are going to scan. This setting affects the shipping labels in terms of the displayed barcode and the number of printed labels.

If you select scanning Orders the Shipping label will feature the barcode generated based on the Order number or the uploaded Order barcode value.

If you select scan Order Volume or Order Plt/Pkg the number of shipping labels will equal the number specified in the corresponding order field.

Labels per page - select the number of labels printed per page:

  • A4 (6 labels per page) - a good option for office printers
  • 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inch) - for an industrial label printers like Zebra
  • 10 x 15 cm  (4 x 4 inch) - for an industrial label printers like Zebra

Generate barcode by - select the source for Order shipping label barcodes to be generated:

  • an order number

  • the value of the Barcode field.

Unique barcode for each Volume or Plt/Pkg - enable this option if you want the system to generate a shipping label with a unique barcode for each unit of volume or each package of an order. For example, if order 000123 consists of three packages the system will generate three shipping labels with barcodes 000123-1, 000123-2, 000123-3. Thus making sure the driver does not miss a package when scanning barcodes at the warehouse or at the customer's.

Fields configuration - pick the necessary fields in the Available fields section and drag/drop them to the Displayed fields section to appear on the shipping label. Your custom fields are also listed in the Available fields and can be added to the shipping label. The number of fields is limited to 7.

Display items on the label - tick this box if you want the order items to be listed on the shipping label. Please pay attention to the hint - the number of displayed items is limited to 4, if there are more items in the order the first three of them & "and more" will be displayed on the shipping label.

Logo image - upload your logo to the shipping label to customize it to the full.

Devices we recommend for printing out shipping labels: Zebra thermal printers, Toshiba BV400D series thermal printers.
