How to collect payments with Track-POD (Square, SumUp, Viva Wallet)

Our payment collection feature allows Ultimate and Enterprise customers to collect payments directly at the point of delivery. This convenient option enhances the delivery experience for both drivers and customers, making transactions seamless and efficient. Below, we outline the prerequisites and the process for utilizing this feature.


Prerequisites:


1. COD is required or provided in the order details: in order to utilize the payment collection feature, the COD field must be accessible to a driver. In Track-POD, this can be accomplished in two ways: by activating "Entering COD is required" in the Mobile Workflow settings, or by entering the COD value within the Order details.

2. Payment App Installed: Drivers must have a compatible payment app installed on their mobile devices. We currently support three major payment providers: SumUp, Square, and Viva Wallet. Ensure that your chosen app is downloaded and set up before attempting to collect payments.


3. Payment Providers Connected to Track-POD: To facilitate smooth transactions, the selected payment provider must be connected to your Track-POD account. For detailed instructions on how to connect each payment provider, please refer to the following articles:

How to Process a Payment:


Once the prerequisites are met, drivers can follow the regular delivery workflow. When the driver arrives at the customer’s location, they will enter the amount due in the proof of delivery window and tap the "Pay" button.




In our screenshot, the driver's device displays all three payment providers, enabling them to select their preferred option. In real life, the driver will be directed to the respective payment application installed on their device. From that point, they can finalize the transaction securely and efficiently.
