If you've noticed that the driver's pin on the map appears to be stuck, highlighted in yellow after 15 minutes and then turning red after 25 minutes of idle time, you may be wondering what could be causing this issue. Here are some possible reasons for this situation:
- Driver is Not Moving: One common reason for a driver's pin being stuck is that the driver is indeed stationary. This could be due to various factors, such as waiting at a customer's location for pickup or being caught in a traffic jam. To get real-time updates on the situation, you can utilize the inbuilt messenger feature within the app. This allows you to communicate directly with the driver and understand their current status.
- Driver has Gone Offline: Another possibility is that the driver has lost their internet connection and has gone offline. In this case, the GPS coordinates will continue to accumulate in the app but won't be updated on the map until the driver reconnects to the internet. If you suspect this is the case, it’s a good idea to call your driver to confirm their situation and ensure they are safe.
- Location Permissions Disabled: Sometimes, the driver may have inadvertently turned off location permissions for the Track-POD app. When this happens, the app cannot record the driver's coordinates, leading to a stationary pin on the map. It’s essential for drivers to ensure that location services are enabled for accurate tracking.
Once the driver completes their route, you can always review the actual track they took compared to the planned route. Simply select the required route, click the Actions button, and choose Show Track to see the details. This feature can help you understand any discrepancies and provide insights into the driver's journey. Ultimate plan subscribers will see a coloured track with the driver's speed on it.
