How to set up Advance notifications?

The Advance Notification feature allows you to create e-mail and SMS notifications and send them to your customers prior to the scheduled delivery.

Note: for SMS notifications all phone numbers shall be stated in the international format +1, +44, etc, otherwise SMS delivery will fail. Configure SMS settings properly to have all imported phone numbers in the required format.

To set up advance notifications:

Step 1: Go to tab Settings -> Advance Notification. In E-mail Settings create a notification template, enter an e-mail subject and text, then click Save. If you want to send SMS notifications check the Advance SMS is enabled box and create a short notification template, click on Save.

You can also set a time window that will be generated based on the scheduled ETA. For this purpose select the required time interval in the Set time window for ETA section.

Step 2: Go back to the Routes tab and right-click a route to open the drop-down menu. Click  Advance Notification...

Step 3: Select those scheduled routes for which advance notifications will be sent out a day prior to the delivery and click the required button Notify by E-mail or Notify by SMS.

NOTE:  If you send advance notifications before you optimize your route the notification will feature the date only (as there is no ETA calculated by the system). So you first optimize the route and then trigger the advance notifications. The notification will state the ETA time slot according to the settings.
