How to set up sending SMS notifications via Twilio

Track-POD sends SMS notifications from a numeric number or from 'Track-POD' sender ID. If you are signed up for Twilio service you can set up sending notifications from Track-POD via your Twilio account and phone number. Or, you may consider signing up for Twilio to utilize this possibility.

In Track-POD go to Notifications and fill in the required fields with the data available in your Twilio account.

Track-POD Settings -> Notifications -> Advanced tab, select Send SMS using Twilio, click Set up Twilio configuration.

In the dialogue window fill in the required fields using data from your Twilio account.

Your Twilio account

1. Account SID - can be found in your Twilio General settings

2. API Key - created in Settings -> API keys&tokens

You can create either a Standard or a Restricted API key. For the Restricted type make sure you set these two permissions:

Messaging → messages → Create

Services → services → Create

Once an API key is created please copy and save API key SID and Secret.

Enter your Twilio phone number or Sender ID, your phone number to which Track-POD will send a confirmation code via SMS (please note, the cost of the confirmation SMS will be charged from your Twilio balance).

Then click Save. That's it, from now on SMS notifications to your customers will be sent from your Twilio phone number or
