To ensure that the Track-POD Mobile App functions effectively and efficiently on your smartphone, it is essential that the mobile settings are configured in a manner that is appropriate and conducive to its operation. This proper configuration will facilitate accurate tracking and enable the seamless transmission of GPS data, which in turn will significantly influence the analytics and insights derived from the app's performance and usage.

If you happen to observe that the tracks corresponding to the routes taken by the drivers are not accurate, and you find that the actual distance traveled is significantly shorter than the distance that was originally planned, it is important to pay close attention to the setup parameters that are outlined below.

  • Your Android or iOS software is updated to the latest version.

                     Android                                                      iOS

  • You are using the latest version of the Track-POD Mobile driver app.

For Android devices: go to the Google Play Store and check for updates.

For iOS devices: check the App Store for updates.

  • Make sure Power Saving Mode is NOT turned on. This will help to avoid the app being killed in the background.

For Android devices: go to Settings -> Battery and if check Power Saving Mode is OFF.

For iOS devices: go to Settings -> Battery and make sure Low Power Mode is not turned ON.

Note:

  • Battery Optimization settings for Android devices running version 6 or higher.

The setting acts as another layer of battery saving setting for individual applications. Enabled optimization for the Track-POD app might result in the application crashing or GPS troubles (incomplete tracks, incorrect track measurement). This applies to the following devices: OnePlus, Huawei, HTC, Samsung, Sony, LG, Motorola, and others. Below's an example of how to disable optimization for Huawei devices. Try to find a similar setting for your own, if you have a different one.

For other devices, this particular screenshot may also prove to be quite beneficial in facilitating the process of granting Track-POD unrestricted access to the device's battery, ensuring that it can operate without any limitations or restrictions.

  • Turn ON your notifications to receive updates and alerts in the mobile app.

For Android devices: go to Settings -> Apps -> Track-POD -> Notifications and make sure Allow Notifications is ON.

For iOS devices: go to Settings -> Track-POD -> Notifications and check if Allow Notifications is ON.

  • Configure your Location settings properly.

For Android devices: go to Settings -> Biometrics and Security -> switch Location ON and Improve accuracy by toggling on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning.

For iOS devices: go to Settings -> Track-POD -> Location and set it to Always.
