Sometimes your couriers, riders, drivers may leave the Ship from point without starting a route or forget to close a completed one upon getting back to the warehouse. This may affect calculating drivers' working hours, correct update of ETAs for your customers, and analytics.
To eliminate this scope for error we've introduced a possibility to automate Route Start and Close actions in the mobile app based on the driver's GPS location.
To access this setting available for Advanced Plus, Ultimate and Enterprise pricing plans please go to Settings -> Mobile Workflow -> Advanced tab.
By enabling toggle 'Allow Reset to Scheduled' you will let her driver to revert the automatic action in the mobile app and set a started route back to Scheduled status. This might happen if a driver crosses the geofence of the warehouse without the intent of starting a route.
Important to know:
- Approximate radius for detecting your warehouse is 300m. When a driver leaves this radius the app will attempt starting a route, when enters this radius the route will be closed.
- If Vehicle Check or Load Check are required prior to route start the app will not start a route automatically, it will remind the driver to start the route from the mobile app with a service message.
- if there are several routes scheduled for different dates the app will not start the route automatically. It will prompt the driver with a service message to tap the Start Route button in the app.
- If there are several routes with different Ship from addresses for the current date the app will start the route based on the driver's GPS location.
- The route will not be closed automatically if there is mandatory Vehicle Check after the route is closed.
- All sites within the route shall have status 'Visited' for the app to close the route automatically.
