If Geofencing appears in the app Settings, it will change your daily workflow. Based on the settings set by your manager, you can see the Geofencing option in two states:
- If the Geofence is enable but the driver doesn't have permission to edit, the settings will be inactive
2. Active state, in which you can manage it yourself, i.e., enable and disable Geofencing.
.
Note: the distance in parentheses indicates the radius of the Geofence around your customers' points.
How your workflow will change if you have Geofencing enabled?
This enabled option will generally set the distance when delivery confirmation is active. In addition, you will not have the usual Arrived and Departed buttons because these actions will occur automatically as soon as you enter or exit the geofence zone.
You will receive an automatic notification when you enter the specified radius of the client's Geofence. The order card will also have the status Nearby, which means you can confirm delivery and collect customer signatures.
After you enter the final order status and move away from the point by the specified distance in the Settings the system will inform you that you will be sent from the point in 15 seconds. It's like you would click the Departed button in a usual process. Then, you can start servicing another client.
If, for some reason you need to perform actions on an order, but you are not within the radius of the geofence, you can disable Geofencing and then you will see the usual Arrived / Departed buttons. It will work, of course if you have an active option state in the Settings.Geofence,
