How to match order zones to drivers for routing and optimization

The wait is finally over, and we are proud to announce we have automated yet another Track POD routing feature- matching drivers zones to orders for automated routing.

To take advantage of this feature, you will need to have an Advanced subscription plan and up, and will need to enable "Match driver and orders zone" in your Routing and Optimization -> Restrictions settings:

There are two options then to proceed with assigning zones to orders: you can either draw zones on the map and the orders will automatically fall into a zone based on the location or you can have a Zone filled in on the Order level.

1. Drawing zones on the map:

- click on the gear icon on the map and enable the toggle for Zones:

- next click on the "+" and proceed with drawing zone borders by clicking on the map. You can name each zone and choose a separate colour for each of them.

- by enabling the toggle to view all unscheduled orders on the map, you can see which orders fall into which zone:

2. Entering Zone parameter on the Order level:

- when creating an order, the Zone field needs to contain zone details:

Last step would be to ensure that your drivers have the zone information provided. In the Directories -> Drivers you can assign each driver a zone (or several):

Once you have everything set up, Track POD routing engine will automatically recognise the zones and assign the orders to the drivers with matching results.

Thats all!
